Jamshedpur FC beat Mohammedan Sporting Club 2-0 at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan on Thursday, February 20, in matchweek 23 of the ongoing Indian Super League 2024-25 to solidify their top three spot. (More Football News)

Jamshedpur also completed the league double over Mohammedan SC, and have now accumulated 37 points from 21 games, just behind FC Goa who have 39 points. 

They then took the lead through Vivek Sagar Prasad in the third quarter, with a contentious field goal that withstood a referral owing to lack of evidence to the contrary as the ball was deemed to have just crossed the goal line.

The travelling Jamshedpur opened the scoring in the seventh minute of the game when Ritwik Das slotted one in from close range.

Khalid Jamil’s men picked up momentum and charged into the Mohammedan’s box frequently, but were unable to produce clear-cut chances to double their lead.

Both teams made a few changes,PINASWIN88 but Jamshedpur’s worked again as substitute Nikhil Barla doubled his side’s lead in the 83rd minute, after a perfect assist by Imran Khan. 

Imran had a sensational outing, completing 31 out of 33 passes, also making one great clearance, all while producting a few goal-scoring opportunities.

Jamshedpur are now third on the table with 21 points, while Mohammedan Sporting are placed 13th with 11 points in 21 matches.
